The Center for Multiscale Plasma Dynamics and The Center for Magnetic Self-Organization are pleased to announce the 6th annual plasma physics winter school, to be held at UCLA on January 4th-8th, 2010. The topic of the school will be "Shear Flows and Momentum Transport in Lab and Astrophysical Plasmas." The school consists of five days of coordinated lecture on the basic physics and outstanding questions associated with this important topic. While the primary aim of the course is to introduce the subject in a pedagogical manner the latest ideas and results will be presented and discussed. The school targets graduate students in their 2nd year and above, and post-docs.
